Ayette's 30 days

Ayette was a friend since my diaconal days as I was assigned in Del Remedio, San Pablo City, Our Lady of Remedy parish. Her death 30 days ago was expected because it was been diagnosed two years ago. But the loss of a friend is too painful. I hope that you rest in peace.

Celebration of the Holy Eucharist to commemorate the event was held in Guarandfood ground this morning officiated by yours trully with the family and some close friends.

Novena to Santa Maria

Fr. Albert, the parish priest of the Nuestra Senora delos Angeles Parish, Sta. Maria, approached me last Monday during the monthly assembly of Priests of the Diocese if I could be one of the celebrants for the Novena Masses in honor of the Patron Saint of which will hold her feast on August 2. My first prerogative was Wednesday, but since I do not know my schedule I called up the my parish for confirmation. When the information arrived, Fr. Doy have already taken the Wednesday slot. So what left according to my free schedule was today. Here are some pictures of my former parishioners after the Mass.

Vocation promotion

The Rogationist fathers wrote me asking for some time during one of the Sunday Mass schedule to be able to speak about priestly vocation in the parish. I think I misplaced the letter. Today, Rev. Fr. Victor Aurellana, RCJ, the assistant vocation promoter of the said congregation and an assistan project of studies came with some of their seminarians. They campaigned during the last Mass. They are stationed in Father Hannibal Formation Center, Rogationist Seminary at 65 St. Hannibal St., Merville Park Subdivision, Paranaque City.

Liceo Teacher's Retreat

The Teachers of Liceo de Bay starts their retreat today and ends up tomorrow afternoon. I will be their retreat director for the said retreat. They told me that the venue of the said retreat will be Tagaytay City, Verna Retreat house. This is also the retreat house that will cater to the Diocese of San Pablo Clergy this coming August. I do not know the exact location of the place since I was not been able to see it during my stay in Tagaytay City during my formation years. I was only been informed that it is situated right after the Development Academy of the Philippines or D.A.P or Picnic Groove. When I failed to see it for the first time a asked a guard from a certain hotel, I forgot the name, He told me the different site, an opposite direction.

The topic assigned was Commitment, it was the topic assigned to all Liceo schools as directed by the program. We started at five in the afternoon.

Prex

Prex is an acronym for Parish Renewal Experience. A movement in the parish hoping to enliven the faith of the faithful for a more fruitful relationship with the Lord and the more active participation to the parish church activities. The movement had suffered some setbacks and one of them was the discontinuation of the said program for a period of four (5) years. When I arrives they sought my audience and presented that they want to revive the movement. I told them it is very hard to revive it that to start a new organization. Since they believe on the fruits of the prex class beforehand. they insisted that it will be beneficial for the parish. This is their second class since it was been revived.

I usually give the first talk which is "The road to Emmaus", the 10th talk which is the "Evangelization" and Confession.

Incoming Letters

A unique blog, an idea that I have read in one of the posts I have read concerning material on blog posting. However, I do not exactly know what does it mean because it can mean a lot of things. A blog is unique because it only speaks of certain subject matter. It can also mean that because of traffics on the site can be an added feature of its uniqueness.

Anyway, there is a new blog that I have created also in Blogspot because of the image capacity rather than that of Wordpress. I have a lot of blogs already in Wordpress is one of the reason I am choosing Blogspot but because it hinders me to put some additional feature that is available in blogspot. I named it Letters.

Letters can be found in http://incomingletters.blogspot.com. It contains invitations, cards and notes of all kind received. Since they are still part of my life, I do not want to clog this priest's site of the said materials and might have eaten away the allotted free images memory so I decided to make another one. Please, if you have time, please visit Letters.
