Von Voyage

Armine Isles Borja just visited me to ask prayer for his travel tomorrow going to Saudi Arabia tomorrow. He is leaving his work here as well as his wife and two children to look for a greener pasture. Since he could find more money there abroad more than what he is earning here in the Philippines. The Church believes that is more beneficial for the family to stay together here in the Philippines but financial opportunities could not be found. The Church provides prayer and support group for those leaving the country.

the parish in particular will be affected by Amine's leaving the country as he holds the leadership of the music ministry. We pray that his time for leaving his family for work will be more profitable and may strengthen the faith of his family.

Bring!them!safely!to!the!place!where!they!long!to!be,

And!help!us!always!to!show!your!kindness!to!strangers

And!those!in!need.

We!ask!this!through!Christ!our!Lord,

Who!too!was!a!refugee!and!migrant

Who!travelled!to!another!land

Searching!for!a!home.

Holy God, You are a God on the move. You move in the world and in our lives. You shape and direct Creation, and us. Your people have always been on the move. Moses led your people out of slavery in Egypt. The Holy Family fled to Egypt as refugees. Today, people continue to move. War, poverty, oppression and violence drive people from home and country. We pray that today's refugees, forced migrants, and internally displaced people may know you are always with them in and through us. Holy, moving God, hear our prayer for the sake of your own uprooted son, Jesus Christ. Amen.
