Doctors of the Roman Catholic Church

As we celebrates today the feast of Saint Lawrence of Brindisi known also as one of the Doctors of the Roman Catholic Church, it comes to my mind that i have posted before the list of the doctors proclaimed by the church but could not find it. I am writing this to list the 36 doctors of the church as of this time. They are called doctors of the church because their writings and preaching have been useful to the church and the faithful for a deepening of the faith in our God. This includes the name, duration of their lifetime, designated by whose Pope, as well as the year it was promulgated and the title given to each individual.

There are 32 men and 4 women. The latest of them given the title is St. Gregory of Narek designated by the present Pope Francis.
