News has it that Rev. Fr. Romeo Obach from the Redemptorist religious community who had hurt the feelings of the unwed mother of the child he baptized last Sunday personally visited the mother and ask for forgiveness. I blogged before that he publicly ask forgiveness with the words " I am deeply Sorry and humbly ask for forgiveness, through the social media before buit as video presents he personally told it to the person concerned.
Even Popes ask for forgiveness for the wrong that the church has done through the centuries particularly in some instances that the Church was silent on some issues like that of the abuses of some of the members of the Catholic Church. It is but proper for us to right the wrong first by asking forgiveness. Healing will only take place if we forgive. This is true both to the offended and the offender.
