Breakthrough

The parish is beset with problem. One of them is them is when there are numbers of funerals. usually people tend to schedule their burial on Saturdays or Sundays. It is also the day when all of the priests have their own schedules. Looking for priests on these specified days is difficult. Ussually parishioners would like to have their funerals with mass. Ussually they end up with funeral blessing.

So I decided to implement a certain policy that will cater their spiritual needs by declairing that on one oclock of Saturdays and Sundays, there is certainty that their dead wil have a funeral Mass with the condition that they are willing to share it with others to be given the same services on that same day and time. For some parishes this is already practiced for a long time but not here.

There are still some apprehension of this practice that my parishioners people have. However this is the most probable solution that I could offer so that they will not be deprived of the spiritual care. Some believe that graces received will be divided by the number of dead being given the same Mass. I told them that the power of God is enormous to all of us as St. Paul have said. God is also a generous God.

Today, it is a treshold to the new horizon because the policy could be realized because people responded. It is not easy to convinced the total population, but this is a good start.
