Kodak Files for Bankruptcy


Digital Cameras and memory sticks and cards were seen as the culprit of the demise of Kodak as the makers of film and cameras. As the company filed for bankruptcy, the court will supervise the restructuring and selling of assets,lot of people hope that Kodak will bounce back.

George Eastman, the Kodak founder began experimenting with film rolled around a spool in the 1880s, and launched Eastman Kodak in 1892 in Rochester, New York. Along with it, Eastman and the company developed a simple low-priced camera, the Kodak Brownie, to sell the film. It  introduced millions to photography.

During the early 20th century as Kodak pioneered the use of camera, the catching words they use to advertised is "You push the button and we do the rest".
