Year of the Poor is already on its end. These are the materials I used to share with my parishioners at St. Martin de Porres Parish and the Catechists of the First Ecclesiastical District of the Diocese of San Pablo as well as the Apostleship of Prayer members of the Vicariate of the Holy Family. Most of these talks were given to the catechists of the said district.
Module 1 - Introduction
Module 2 Looking through Loving, Merciful, Compassionate Heart
Module 3 Looking through Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation for God's Kingdom
Module 4 Looking through… the Gifts and Talents for the Blessed Ones
Module 5 Looking through the Eyes of Love, Mercy & Compassion
Some realization that comes out from reflections on these topics:
We are poor because we need God.
Christ Love us much that he let himself be poor to be with us.
There are "poor" that we have to accept.
There are "poor" that we have to reject.
There are "poor" that we have to embrace.
We have to find the poor in our midst.
The world is given to all, and not only to the rich.
I listen to understand not to intent to reply.
Remebering is a part of listening.
To understand the poor we need the mercy, love and compassion of God specifically on the Sacrament of Reconcilliation.,
