COLLECT AT THE GENERAL INTERCESSIONS
Almighty and merciful God
draw our hearts, we beseech you,
to the love of your only–begotten Son,
crucified, poor, and despised,
so that, like Saint Martin de Porres
we may cherish what is lowly and hidden
and never shrink from the service
of those who ask for our help.
Through Christ our Lord.

OFFERTORY ANTIPHON
In thy strength, O Lord, the just man shall joy,
and in thy salvation he shall rejoice exceedingly:
Thou hast given him his heart’s desire (Ps 20:2–3).
PRAYER OVER THE OFFERINGS
Most clement God,
who in Saint Martin de Porres
deigned to do away with the old man
and to create the new one according to your own desire,
mercifully grant that we too, renewed in like manner,
may offer a sacrifice of atonement pleasing to you.
Through Christ our Lord.
PREFACE
It is truly right and just, our duty and our salvation,
always and everywhere to give you thanks,
Lord, holy Father, almighty and eternal God,
through Christ our Lord.
In the life and witness of your saints
you make your Church ever fruitful
with the creative strength of your Spirit
and give us an admirable sign of your love.
To fulfil the mystery of our salvation
you give us their example to inspire us
and commend us to their loving intercession.
With gratitude and wonder
we honour the memory of Saint Martin de Porres,
who served you with wholehearted loyalty
and now rejoices in the contemplation of your glory.
And so, with him and all the choirs of angels
we join our voices to raise the ceaseless hymn of praise:
COMMUNION ANTIPHON
Blessed the man who considers the poor and the weak;
the Lord will save him on the day of evil (Ps 40:2).
PRAYER AFTER COMMUNION
By the might of this sacrament,
we beseech you, O Lord,
through the example of Saint Martin,
to lead us ceaselessly in the way of your love,
and to complete in us the good work you have begun
for the day of Christ Jesus.
Who lives and reigns forever and ever.
