GOSPEL REFLECTION: 25th Sunday in Ordinary Time year A  September 21,2014 by Rev. Fr. Allen Baclor Abadines GOSPEL: Matthew 20:1-16 Jesus spoke this parable to his disciples. "The Kingdom of heaven is like a landowner who went early in the morning to hire labourers for his vineyard. After agreeing with the labourers for the usual daily wage, he sent them into his vineyard. When he went out about nine o'clock, he saw others standing idle in the marketplace; and he said to them, "You also go into the vineyard, and I will pay you whatever is right." So they went. When he went out again about noon and about three o'clock, he did the same. And about five o'clock he went out and found others standing around; and he said to them, "Why are you standing here idle all day?" They said to him, "Because no one has hired us." He said to them, "You also go into the vineyard." When evening came, the owner of t...

September Priest Assembly

Image
Every month the clergy of the diocese of San Pablo through the Leadership of the local ordinary meet to pray, recollect and discuss important matters that affect the presbyterium and the whole community. Last Monday, as usual,  we start the order of the day with the Holy Hour. A time that we commune with god not only as individual, because we can do it alone in our own parishes in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament but here as a community of God's disciple with the head of the diocese. The bishop, Buenaventura Famadico weight that though we may not see any changes in the outside but there is really happening in the inside because what does not matter to men might have greatly to God as simply as accompanying Him in silence with the rest of the presbyters. Here are some of the topics discussed during the meeting: The invitation of the Ministry on Family and life to actively grow in the ministry by engaging the couples especially on dealing with their problem by cr...

Lectors and Commentators Renewal

Image
The Church in union with our Lord Jesus Christ has the obligation to proclaim the Good News of salvation throughout the whole world and even to the universe at large that is to the end of the world. One of the ministry of which the laity participates in this endeavor along with other ways such as in teaching the members of the family about the teaching of our Lord Jesus Christ is helping the priest in the liturgy to make the written word of God be heard in the celebration of the Holy Eucharist. proclaiming the Word of God as one reads the passage or passages of the written word of God from the Old Testaments, Psalms and the New Testament. Helping the faithful to participate in the solemn celebration of Christ's presence in our midst, the commentators and the lectors are here to commune as God's voice proclaiming His presence and messages to guide our daily life. Sometimes, it is to be noted that the faithful should not only hear the Gospel the priest proclaim but also the ...

Internet Interruptions

Image
It was been a long and series of complains that I presented to internet providers not included that we are the slowest internet speed in the whole world. As a part of costumer rights, I formerly report every time there is an internet interruption but since the incapacities of the call center agents to solve the matters and simply keeping a log of complain in the computer or of their databases, and tired of hearing of sending technicians to solve the matter knowing that it is not the physical connection that should be addressed after all. Aside from praying and taking the pill of patience, every time that I will encounter the loss of connection, I will post and stack the screenshots wherein it is also detailed there the date and time and an icon referring if there is a connection or not. For the record, let it be known again that my internet provider is PLDT dsl. i just hope that my space for pictures here at blogger.com will not run out. I will also be posting in my Facebook ...
