Sore eyes?

Image
Since yesterday, my eyes suffered from pain, I thought was a sore eye. During the early morning mass, I wear a sunglasses. Well. though I am not certain of what it might really be, I would like to protectmy eyes from further damage as well as the people who attends the Mass. After the celebration of the Eucharist, I asked Dra. Fe Pantas of what cure available for the said sickness. He [rescribed me an eye drop medicine that could only be bought in Mercury Drug store. I have to travel travel to the next town to buy the medicine. I told John that after he dropped me at the venue for the next Mass, he should go directly to the neighboring town tp buy the medicine. The Holy Family School in Bay, a private school composed of 300 students, that is the number they told me from Prep school to High School department. offered the said mass as a Holy Spirit Mass. My difficulty then, I could not use the Holy Spirit Mass because it is the solemn feasts of St. Peter ans St. Paul. The two important ...

Sorry for not blogging for several days. Parish works is really eating much of my time. Especially that classes starts during these days. There are some activities that I will posts later of the later date because it hindered me to do so due to loss of time. This is just to inform everybody that I am still alive. As I have said before I manage to create several pods. Here is an addition. If I could accumulate several videos of the diocese. I hope I could dig some from other parishioners, If some of you who might be reading this from the diocese of San Pablo, Maybe you could contribute your copy of old activities of the Diocese. I do not know if the diocese have some archived materials. I will try to asked. I am starting to make a website or blogsite in the i.ph but it seems that the traffics seems very hard. It take me a lot of time of posting one article. Maybe I will try to move on another service. Maybe Wordpress or Blogspot. I have tried the i.ph for a change. But it seems ...

Seminarian, Dead....

My schedule and the priorities I have for the moment hindered me to post blogs here for the moment but this news have attracted my attention: Family of slain seminarian wants justice By Jeannette Andrade Inquirer Last updated 04:58am (Mla time) 06/16/2007 MANILA, Philippines – Justin Daniel Bataclan would have been a priest next year. Bataclan was killed after a burglar broke into his house in Cubao, Quezon City to steal two cellular phones on June 7. Jojo Fernandez, Bataclan’s uncle who works at the Office of the Ombudsman, does not want his nephew’s death to be just another crime statistic. He wants justice for his nephew, the third in a family of four. “He was a very kind boy who would have made a very good priest. We still can’t accept that he was killed inside his own house,” Fernandez said. Bataclan, 21, was in his fourth year at the St. Paul Seminary in Makati City and was a prospective cum laude, be...

Meeting the Pope ( story )

Image
This is a repost. This is a good news , a good story, a personal expereince of a reporter meeting the Pope PDI reporter teary in Rome for losing bag, meeting Pope By Juliet Labog-Javellana Inquirer Last updated 03:42am (Mla time) 06/10/2007 VATICAN CITY—Meeting the Pope was an experience next to none. Coming as it did the day after I was robbed of my belongings, the opportunity to meet Pope Benedict XVI in his private library could not have come at a better time. While being led to the high-security Apostolic Palace past the Vatican Gardens at the back of St. Peter’s Basilica and up to the papal residence by elevator, I already got goose bumps. Even the air smelled holy. The moment I was called to approach the Pope as he stood in the reception hall of his magnificent library, I felt my knees tremble. And when the Holy Father looked down at me, smiled and extended his hands in welcome, I completely broke do...

New Pod

Image
Finding the richness of Catholic resources in the internet in video form, I decided to add new widget from Vodpod. The additional widget could be found here at the right side panel of the blog. So much richness that it took me a lot of time to sort it out. In this widget, videos could be added from time to time as long as I could find good materials for catholic understanding and deepening of our faith as Christians, as Catholics. After my nuptial Mass, I decided to make a groupings for all these video before going to the Barrio for the preparation of the feast of the Patron in San Antonio, Bay, Laguna. I was supposed to talk with the seminarians, theologians from Tagaytay City in Los Banos, Laguna as the vicariate decided to host them for their retreat so as much not to incur additional expenses from the seminary fund. The priest of Vicariate decided to host the retreat and the talks to be delivered. But, becasue of my schedule here that my secretaty have not been able to arrang...

On Construction and Preservation

Image
T his is an amateur video footage from a digital camera. It is quite dark. Digital cameras need more light, I supposed. I have a mini-divi camera but I have not been able to bring it to the service center. It also requires a lot of time in transfering from tape to PC. It is easier to use now the card. Maybe, if I have enough money to buy a good moving camera, it will be good for podcasting. For the moment be patient with this one. Next time I will add additional lightning. This is the invitation and a bird's eye view of the forthcoming first ever seminar to be hosted by the diocesan commission of construction and preservation of ecclesiastical edefice to held here in my parish, bay, Laguna, St. Augustine Parish on June 11, 2007 at 8:00 in the morning. All parish priests and officers of the Church construction committe or temporalities are cordially invited. A 200.00 pesos expense is required for all the attendees. Lunch is included in the 200 pesos fee along with the seminar mater...

I am back

Image
Thanks! My site is back. Well, I do not know, if my site was objectionable to the taste of others. There is no comment on such matters. I hardly have any comment at all. This blocking of site is one of the result of the effort of blogspot staff to get rid of spam and spammers. Here it says: What We're Doing About Spam Needless to say, we do not approve of spamming here at Blogger. Below are some of the things we've implemented to remove and reduce spam on our service. We will update this list as we continue our efforts. Automated spam classifying algorithms keep spam blogs out of NextBlog and out of our "Recently Published" list on the dashboard. The same classifiers are used to require an extra word verification field on the posting form for potential spam blogs. This makes it harder for spammers to set up automated systems to do their posting, since a human needs to complete this step. The Flag as Objectionable button in the Navbar lets you notify us of problem...

Classification Proposal

Image
PROPOSED CLASSIFICATION OF CHURCH BUILDINGS AND OTHER PREMISES IN THE DIOCESE OF SAN PABLO , PROVINCE OF LAGUNA Guiding Principle: The present physical status and the era when a church building was constructed would determine the kind of architectural care and intervention that it would receive. This will aid the diocese in the formulation of appropriate policies for each status and era classification. Introduction Not all churches in Rome were built in the same era. Not all of them are Ancient, Baroque, Renaissance, Neoclassical, Gothic or Medieval in style. Not all of them follow the same engineering and architectural methods of construction. Not all of them are historical in a definite way. There are some churches in the Eternal City that are ultra-modern in style and not all of them are famous and tourist-worthy to visit. But all of them are sacred spaces as well as living spaces. Sacred Spaces means they are directed towards God and the experience of the Sacre...
