Diocesan Shrine

Image
This is the norms of the Diocese of San Pablo concerning the establishment of a Diocesan Shrine. This is to facilitate or help those parishes in the Diocese who wishes to be a shrine, a place of pilgrimage of the people of God. Personally, what has surprised me is the provision that states that no two parishes will be made a shrine within a vicariate. So far, the existing approved diocesan shrines are the following: 1. Shrine of the Holy Sepulchre, Landayan, San Pedro, Laguna belongs to the vicariate of San Pedro 2. Shrine of Saint Vincent Parish, Mamatid, Cabuyao, Laguna belongs to the vicariate of San Isidro 3. Shrine of Saint Anthony de Padua, Pila, Laguna belongs to the vicariate of San Antonio de Padua 4. Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Pagsanjan, Laguna, belongs to the vicariate of Mahal na Birhen ng Guadalupe. 5. Shrine of Our Lady of Sorrows (Turumba), Pakil, Laguna belongs to the vicariate of St. James the Apostle Here is the copy of the Norms on establi...

1 Juan 5:5-13

Accident and Annointing of the Sick

Image
This morning, we went to paete to inquire on the images of the three kings and other images of the Belen or the Nativity set of our Lord Jesus Christ because the parish does not have a complete set, we only had the holy family. On our way, when we reach Sta. Cruz Laguna, I noticed a motorcycle  in the middle of the  left side of the road/ When I slowed down, I saw a man lying down so I stop the car and immediately told my companions to get the sick call kit. The Man is gushing with blood. I pulsed him and there  is nothing I could felt. I administered the anointing of the sick immediately. I told the passerby to fetch the nearest police station in the vicinity. The conductor of the bus that ahead of us is telling me that the motorcycle slipped and it slammed in the Bus. Here are some pictures. I advise you that this can be graphic. For those who are not familiar with the sight of blood, beware! Whoever he may be may God grant him eternal rest, Amen. ...

Pray to God to deliver us against the storm Hagupit or Ruby!

Image
As we prepare all the necessary precautions against the coming storm "Habagat" , Let us also bend our knees in the front of the blessed sacrament to save us from any catastrophe. Sacred heart of Jesus, Have mercy on us. St. Martin de Porres, pray for us,  Almighty Father, We raise our hearts to You in gratitude, for the wonders of creation of which we are part, for Your providence in sustaining us in our needs, and for Your wisdom that guides the course of the universe. We acknowledge our sins against You and the rest of Your creation. We have not been good stewards of nature. We have confused Your command to subdue the earth. The environment is made to suffer our wrongdoing, and now we reap the harvest of our abuse and indifference. Global warning is upon us. Typhoons, floods, volcanic eruption, and other natural calamities occur in the increasing number and intensity. We turn to you, our loving Father, and beg forgiveness for o...

Solemnity of Christ the King (A)

GOSPEL REFLECTION: Solemnity of Christ the King (A) 23rd November 2014 by Rev. Fr. Allen Baclor Abadines  * GOSPEL: Matthew 25:31-46 Jesus said to his disciples: "When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the Angels with him, then he will sit on the throne of his glory. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats, and he will put the sheep at his right hand and the goats at the left. "Then the King will say to those at his right hand, 'Come, you that are blessed by my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me.' "Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when was it that ...
