Raise 35 Million Pesos in 4 Months.

Image
I could not believe what I saw, so I retrace my steps and read the tarpaulin that reads "Raise 35 Million Pesos in 4 Months."  Well, it is a parish in the rich parish Alabang. However, it has raise some issues on my head. The parish might really be too rich to raise such amount, 35M divided 4, that is 8.75 million every month and 291,666.66 everyday.I just hope and pray that I could have that charism or any of my Parish Pastoral or Parish Financial Council. For the moment the parish is on the 4th month on raising for the flooring of the Parish Church because it needs rehabilitations, the tiles are already broken. Not all of them but many of them are. our expected amount to be raised  costs only an amount of 700 tiles that is priced as 500 per tiles. That is only 350,000.00 pesos that is just a fraction of a day counterpart of the Alabang parish. So far, we just raised a fourth of the amount so far. Well, anything is on God's hands. We are just doing we can. we ca...

Pilgrimage

Image
We are the Pilgrim Church, that's what the Second Vatican Council Document Dogmatic Constitution on the Church Lumen Gentium tell us. The Church enjoins us, her members to journey into a more meaningful encounter with the Divine. We are called to deepen our life of discipleship with our Lord Jesus Christ. This constitutes a movement towards a closer realization of our Christian faith in our everyday life.. There are many ways of fulfilling this need. Pilgrimages or visiting holy places is one way. May the Holy places we visited and will visit enliven us in our relationship and our faith with our God and neighbor. May it bring us new perspectives and broaden our understanding of our faith in a new dimension. May our experiences help us to be an effective witnesses of God's love for others  May our pilgrimages, pleasant or unpleasant it may be will help us to understand that our entire life is a pilgrimage. Henrietta de Villa Source CBCP MANILA, Feb. 18, 2013— The Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting has released guidelines to Catholic voters on how they should choose their candidates in the May 2013 automated elections. The Catholic Church-backed poll watchdog said the guidelines aims to help voters choose the right candidates who will lead the nation. The 10 Commandments for Responsible Voting is contained in the booklet titled “Pinoy Big Voter”, a voter’s education manual made by the PPCRV. The manual also contains the Church’s social teachings, compilation of various pastoral statements of the Catholic hierarchy on elections, and information about the automated election system. Henrietta de Villa, PPCRV national chairperson, said the manual is about the power of voters “that is equal in value with the rich and famous…” “It’s not about size, your size… big or small, XL or XXL. It’s about your importance, your power as a voter,” de Villa said. “It is only du...

DEI VERBUM

DOGMATIC CONSTITUTION ON DIVINE REVELATION DEI VERBUM SOLEMNLY PROMULGATED BY HIS HOLINESS POPE PAUL VI ON NOVEMBER 18, 1965 PREFACE 1. Hearing the word of God with reverence and proclaiming it with faith, the sacred synod takes its direction from these words of St. John: "We announce to you the eternal life which dwelt with the Father and was made visible to us. What we have seen and heard we announce to you, so that you may have fellowship with us and our common fellowship be with the Father and His Son Jesus Christ" (1 John 1:2-3). Therefore, following in the footsteps of the Council of Trent and of the First Vatican Council, this present council wishes to set forth authentic doctrine on divine revelation and how it is handed on, so that by hearing the message of salvation the whole world may believe, by believing it may hope, and by hoping it may love. (1) CHAPTER I REVELATION ITSELF 2. In His goodness and wisdom God chose to reveal Himself and to ...
