Parish Pastoral Council For Responsible Voting Voter's Education Manual for 2013 Philippine National  Election   Pinoy Big Voter by

Henrietta de Villa Source CBCP MANILA, Feb. 18, 2013— The Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting has released guidelines to Catholic voters on how they should choose their candidates in the May 2013 automated elections. The Catholic Church-backed poll watchdog said the guidelines aims to help voters choose the right candidates who will lead the nation. The 10 Commandments for Responsible Voting is contained in the booklet titled “Pinoy Big Voter”, a voter’s education manual made by the PPCRV. The manual also contains the Church’s social teachings, compilation of various pastoral statements of the Catholic hierarchy on elections, and information about the automated election system. Henrietta de Villa, PPCRV national chairperson, said the manual is about the power of voters “that is equal in value with the rich and famous…” “It’s not about size, your size… big or small, XL or XXL. It’s about your importance, your power as a voter,” de Villa said. “It is only du...

PPCRV RECOMMENDATIONS AFTER ELECTIONS 2007 FOR THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES The President has declared that the remaining three years of her term would be the “legacy phase” – we of the PPCRV are heartened by this declaration. We thus ask her with courageous political will to take the actions necessary to restore public trust in the Commission on Elections, which is the government’s lead electoral institution. Thus too our elections will regain credibility, so greatly damaged in recent elections. 1. In February 2008 , exactly six months from now, the present Chairman of the COMELEC and two of its Commissioners will be retiring. There will then be four (4) vacancies (there is already one vacancy at present) to be filled in the Commission. With due respect we strongly urge with regard to the selection of nominees for the vacancies: - that all “election stakeholders” be provided due opportunity to discuss and formulate the criteria for nominations for future members of...

It is to be noted that he is the first one who will run to the highest position i.e., governorship. Here is the collection of Videos posted in the internet by the citizenry, most likely looking for him to make a difference in society. Political Ads of Fr. The Parish Pastoral Council have intensified its drive for the recruitment of volunters. We want to raise the volunters from the fifty persons to 141. The municipality has 141 precints to be watched during the election scattered among its villages. Some prospects are asking for a fee just like the watchers of political candidates. Sorry, but this one is free, a volunter. Others are afraid of the violatile situation of the local nominees. They do not want to be identified because other political parties are also recruiting them. Some political parties technique is to get as many poll watchers because it could secure them their votes. We are also in need of financial resources. We need to fed these volunters for a day's work, some even will stay more for the counting of ballots. We need also bottled waters. Late that afternoon, I also met the members of young professional who are in-charge of Marian devotion during may in offering flowers to Mary and asking for her intercession. One ...
