Last Monday, Jan 18, 2016, I have noticed that the website of the Diocese is now online again. It was poster here also when it was down before sometime last year. As we celebrate the Year of Mercy, the Year of Family and Eucharist and the Golden Jubilee of the Diocese of San Pablo it is but fitting to use the present technology to the building of the Kingdom of God. To inform necessary plan of action and the activities that has been part of the graces that God continually showers us with.  To warn of the pitfalls that the faithful may encounter as we travel toward to the new promised Land. This is also to strengthen each and everyone to carry the cross how heavy it may be as Our Lord Jesus Christ did. May information concerning our faith activities and programs help us to a deeper relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ who have bother to let himself be known by becoming one of us and to penetrate our very being to be united with Him.

Is Nassa.org.ph down?

Looking for more materials concerning the year of the poor, I have tried to visit nassa.org.ph but cannot be accessed. Nassa is the episcopal commission of the Catholic Bishop Conference of the Philippines for National Secretatiat for Social Action, Justice and Peace who is the lead agency of the Church on the implementation of the Program for the year of the Poor. The problem maybe from the host of the nassa.org.ph for some adjustment, let us wait after its maintenance finish the work. I just hope it will be available soon.

The Right for Information. This is the battle cry of those who pushes changes in the government. An idea wishes to be seen as  a reality since it was first proposed in the Philippine Congress twenty seven years ago. The right of Information was enshrined in the 1987 Philippine Constitution. However, a law must be enacted so that its proper passage to the daily life will be directed towards a more transparent and clean governance. MANILA, Jan. 19, 2012—Reacting on the reported United Nations’ humanitarian action plan program to help thousands of victims of Typhoon Sendong in Mindanao, Manila Auxiliary Bishop Broderick Pabillo said that the victims should be given the most essential things they need to start their life anew. According to reports, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) program, “Philippines (Mindanao) Humanitarian Action Plan 2012” purportedly aims to raise some $28 million (P1.26 billion) to help the typhoon victims. But, the UN’s humanitarian action program for typhoon victims has a catch. Included in the program is the intention to distribute sexual and reproductive health (RH) “Minimum Initial Service Packages” (MISPs) including RH kits. Pabillo, who chairs the CBCP’s National Secretariat on Social Action, Justice and Peace (NASSA), said what the victims need are not the non-essentials but the basics that would help them begin again. “Hindi ‘yun a...
