As we celebrate today the feast of St. Alphonsus de Ligouri, Bishop and Doctor of the Church and founder of the Redemptorist Order, I thank God for the love that St. Alphonsus have poured out to Jesus Christ through the adoration of the Blessed Sacrament of which he drew strength to perform his daily activities in the proclamation of the love of God. The parish have also sailed through the attempt to revive the devotion to the Blessed Sacrament, we fondly called Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration that was been popular on the Diocese during the 80's but lost momentum since the 90's and onward. Some people are keeping asking me to revive it. However, this devotional practice needs a well coordinated efforts and continual reminders. I remember, during my diaconate when I was assigned in St. Isidore parish of Calauan, I cannot remember the exact date but surely it was between 1992 to 1993. i was been instructed by the Bishop then Pedro N. Bantigue to look for people to devote...

Pray to God to deliver us against the storm Hagupit or Ruby!

Image
As we prepare all the necessary precautions against the coming storm "Habagat" , Let us also bend our knees in the front of the blessed sacrament to save us from any catastrophe. Sacred heart of Jesus, Have mercy on us. St. Martin de Porres, pray for us,  Almighty Father, We raise our hearts to You in gratitude, for the wonders of creation of which we are part, for Your providence in sustaining us in our needs, and for Your wisdom that guides the course of the universe. We acknowledge our sins against You and the rest of Your creation. We have not been good stewards of nature. We have confused Your command to subdue the earth. The environment is made to suffer our wrongdoing, and now we reap the harvest of our abuse and indifference. Global warning is upon us. Typhoons, floods, volcanic eruption, and other natural calamities occur in the increasing number and intensity. We turn to you, our loving Father, and beg forgiveness for o...

Prayer to the Blessed Virgin Mary

Image
Most Blessed Virgin Mary, amid the crisis brought about by the territorial claims of China, we come to your presence seeking your queenly protection and motherly help. We pray for peace and the safety of the Philippines, as we keep in mind the spiritual welfare of those who advance their territorial claims to the detriment of the security of our country. May the love of your Maternal Heart attract the Chinese people to your Son, Jesus. May your Immaculate Heart be the center from which the rays of the light and love for the Sacred Heart will radiate forth throughout China, becoming for them the unquenchable fountain from which the living water of the Divine Mercy will flow. Through your intercession, may the Lord grace the Chinese people with faith, hope and love, that by your maternal mediation of grace, the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit will be worshipped and glorified in that vast expanse of land. (Adapted from a message of Jesus to Sister Lucy of Fatima as documented in a lett...

Pinangalingan ng Larawan MESSAGE OF HIS HOLINESS POPE BENEDICT XVI FOR THE CELEBRATION OF THE WORLD DAY OF PEACE 1 JANUARY 201 3       BLESSED ARE THE PEACEMAKERS 1. EACH NEW YEAR brings the expectation of a better world. In light of this, I ask God, the Father of humanity, to grant us concord and peace, so that the aspirations of all for a happy and prosperous life may be achieved. Fifty years after the beginning of the  Second Vatican Council , which helped to strengthen the Church’s mission in the world, it is heartening to realize that Christians, as the People of God in fellowship with him and sojourning among mankind, are committed within history to sharing humanity’s joys and hopes, grief and anguish,  [1]  as they proclaim the salvation of Christ and promote peace for all. In effect, our times, marked by globalization with its positive and negative aspects, as well as the continuation of violent conflicts and threats of w...
