This post comes with her permission that maybe able to help us as one of our materials in our meditation especially when the subject matters touched on lives and God's gifts. To my dear family & friends, Peace!  By now some of you might have heard the news about what happened to me last Tuesday, May 12, 2015. Let me begin by saying thank you for the e-mails, messages, notes, get-well-soon cards, for those of you who are near me…the little tokens of gifts such as coffee & tea that were left on the top my desk, words of kindness, hugs and most especially your prayers. I am most grateful and overwhelmed by all your kindness.  Last Tuesday, May 12, 2015 was my last day at the University…my final research paper for the semester was due. I left St. Elizabeth ...

Intense Debate

Image
I have included intense debate in this blog along with the other blogs I maintain. My intesedebate page/site will somehow moderate my comments and be able to tract them down. Intense debate site tell us more about it: "IntenseDebate provides many new features meant to inspire discussion and easily follow the conversation. In order to better organize the discussion, we've implemented comment threading which allows users to directly reply to one another. Users also have an identity that spans across all blogs powered by IntenseDebate. Along with this is a reputation value, based on the quantity and quality of the comments users make, meant to give an overview of a user's commenting history. Quality is determined by the users through comment voting, which also serves to move the best comments to the top. With all of our comment systems being interconnected, we make it easy to track users and their activities across all blogs using our system by providing email and rss notifi...

Interesting Person?

Image
You Are 80% Interesting Believe it or not, you are a very fascinating person. You're probably too busy being interesting to realize exactly how interesting you are. You have a rich, full life. You are curious about the world, and you are very open to new experiences. You have a lot to talk about, and people find you to be an amazing conversationalist. And most importantly, you are truly interested in other people. How could anyone find that boring? You truly listen and learn from others. You're not self absorbed or shallow. Prex

Image
Prex is an acronym for Parish Renewal Experience. A movement in the parish hoping to enliven the faith of the faithful for a more fruitful relationship with the Lord and the more active participation to the parish church activities. The movement had suffered some setbacks and one of them was the discontinuation of the said program for a period of four (5) years. When I arrives they sought my audience and presented that they want to revive the movement. I told them it is very hard to revive it that to start a new organization. Since they believe on the fruits of the prex class beforehand. they insisted that it will be beneficial for the parish. This is their second class since it was been revived. I usually give the first talk which is "The road to Emmaus", the 10th talk which is the "Evangelization" and Confession. Blogs commenting Fr. Jessie's post Technorati icon">

Coming as it did the day after I was robbed of my belongings, the opportunity to meet Pope Benedict XVI in his private library could not have come at a better time. While being led to the high-security Apostolic Palace past the Vatican Gardens at the back of St. Peter’s Basilica and up to the papal residence by elevator, I already got goose bumps. Even the air smelled holy. The moment I was called to approach the Pope as he stood in the reception hall of his magnificent library, I felt my knees tremble. And when the Holy Father looked down at me, smiled and extended his hands in welcome, I completely broke do...
