At five this afternoon, I concelebrate with the bishops and the priests of the diocese in the parish of St. Therese of the Child Jesus in University of the Philippines in Los banos, Laguna, Philippines. Sorry, I forgot to bring my camera. It was too late when I remember it because of time element.The Parish celebrates the said feast day during the last sunday of the month of September, that was last sunday for this year. But, today, the parish priest decided to hold additional celebration coincides with the 50th year anniversary of the said parish. Since, new altar was constructed along with the altar table, Rev. Fr. Thor Villacarlos deemed it necessary to consecrate the Church on the said date.There are at least 20 priest who concelebrated with the bishop. A simple dinner followed afterwards. There is also a schedule basketball event to be participated with the Knights of Columbus and the clergy of the diocese after supper in umali subdivision.   I left after supper, I have to pick up...

Fr. Thor Villacarlos, the parish priest of St. Therese of the Child Jesus in U.P. Los Banos visited me and the youth sportfest (Vicarial youth sportfest is being held here in the parish until Friday). In preparation for the National Youth Day. Hee instructed me to make a website for the registration of applicants. National Youth Day 2010 will be hosted by the Commission on Youth of the Diocese of San Pablo on November 2010. The priests of the vicariate have decided to trained new lay ministers of the holy communion for the period of five weeks to enable them to grasp the work intended for them and be able to help the community they will serve. There are 21 number of participants who started and with the help of grace finished today through the commissioning of which i presided during the Mass as the Vicar Forane. Fr. Joe Segudo of the immaculate parish gave the homily for the said event. After the mass, a simple meal followed. Since Aileen and Oghie gave me the cross stitch Divine Mercy image I have tried several times to visit the framing shop in Los Banos but they are closed since Monday. I have tried again today, but as usual it is closed. So I decided to go to Calamba to let it be framed. The Calamba shop was open but they do not have the necessary materials , I wished that it could be finished before Sunday so that it will coincide with the feast of the Divine Mercy. Not all what we wished for come true. However, it will be great, if it has. The frame maker will call me if the order will be finished. I also bought a dvd writer because of my picture files. My com puter is clogged with pictures data taken during the celebration of the Holy week. I have to unload or else my computer will crash. I also to manage to study some web development and several links on this blog. I have also decided to left out some enhancement to unload the burden of loading and reloading. I also visited attorney Carolino who celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary, along with me is vice mayor and attorney Nor Briones, his wife and virgie As traditionally done, Salubong or Encounter starts at 4:00 in the morning. Here the two children acts as angels removing the black veil of Virgin Mary because she encountered her Son, The Risen Christ. After the funeral mass, I visited Eugene Tomas in the Hospital. She arrived last March from Canada and was diagnosed with cancerof the colon. I gave her the annointing of the sick at the Los Banos Doctors Hospital I visited Javier Escano in Sta. Maria because his grandson was Christened that morning.

In kumpisalang Bayan in Immaculate Concepcion parish, Los banos, Laguna, I was not able to take some pictures, we were almost complete then except for one. One of the discussion that we have been to was the policy of the diocese concerning the repair and construction of the churches and parish convent. There was a moratorium for six months. A circular letter was sent over to all of us concerning this matter. We discussed that if the circular letter which prohibits any major repair and construction for the period of six months after the reception of the new parish assignment. The gray part is that idt does not specifically points out what is the meaning of major repair and construction. The discussion arises because some priest have made some repairs already a lot od speculation about this matter. I told the group that if it is possible somebody should keep the bishop to clarify all areas before sending the letter or clear it up in the presbyteral meeting.

Ben and Darling Sanchez of Los Banos decided to renew their vows in their 5oth anniversary as husband and wife with their children and grandchildren in one of the place here in my parish. I celebrated Mass with them. They remember me as the one who officiated the blessing of their resort in Pansol while I was a parish priest their. It is a glaring example of faithfulness and love which the present generation should not forget.

One of the fruits of the Vicarial meeting is the conception and the execution of training new ministers of Holy Communion for the member parishes of the Vicariate. It is an answer for the need of the parishes for an effective management of the parochial activities and liturgical celebrations. The training started 5 weeks ago. The venue chosen because of the availability of the place is the parish of the St. Therese, U.P. Los Banos, Laguna. The total number of lay who started training was 21 and all have been diligent enough to undergo the said training for the period of 5 weeks.
