Image
Some friends from my former parish in Sta. Maria, Laguna, Nuestra Senora delos Angeles drop by before going through their meeting in San Pablo City. They are going to attend the meeting of 'FIRM', Friends of Imelda Romualdez Marcos group. Clearly a political group. Since they are passing thru, they decided to drop by and just say HELLO. They just spent some time since they are also on the way to San Pablo. They are also going to talk to the Mayor of this town, Mayor, Bruno Ramos. Blogs commenting Fr. Jessie's post

Peace covenant signing

Image
I was invited by the Bay Police chief as witness for the signing og the peace covenant. The challenging or the opposition party did not arrive, the reason given was conflict with previous appointment. After the signing of the covenant, even if the other party was not present, a suggestion came out of the need of candidate forum to be held in a neutral ground. And the Church is generally the accepted neutral ground. So, I have to informed the coordinator of the Parish Pastoral Council concerning this matter. For additional information concerning the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting of the parish (PPCRV) please log on http://frjessie.wordpress.com. I am also posting here the names of the candidates for the municipality of Bay Mayor Duron, Pablito Ajos Duron United Opposition Ramos, Bruno Tolentino Bunoy Kampi Vice-Mayor Comia, Cesar Dimasuay Sir Comia Kampi Ramos, Edwin D...

Asking for Prayers

Image
Candidates from my former parish belonging to the opposition came and visit me. They are asking for Prayer. So, I asked them to go to the Church and I blessed them. Vice mayor Nor Briones running for Mayor, Councilor Pitchie Aguado running for vice-mayor and the following are for counselors. Andrew Aguja, Boni de Castro, Cora Marana, Delo Magtibay and Jojo Gapol. I told them that they have a good political platform but if they lose there is nothing to be achieved on. However, if they win, they should fulfill their promises. Their political platform should not only be a written document, it has to be transformesdto realities.

Opening Prayer

Image
Atty. Roberto C. Abejero, regional director of region IV DilG. we have some conversation before the annual report of the Mayor. Since election is near, a lot of public officials came, from the governor to the municipal councilors. They invited me for an opening prayer. Even though they have invited other sects to hold a doxology, I complied, since I have to be present for the catholic electorate. When I entered the municipal plaza wherein the celebration is being held, I noticed that they were amazed at my presence. I do not know why. During the prayer, I ask the lord for guidance so that our political leaders could really help alleviate our present condition through the help of St. Joseph whose feast day is being celebrated today
