Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Matthew 25:1-13. Jesus told his disciples this parable: "This story throws light on what will happen in the kingdom of heaven. Ten bridesmaids went out with their lamps to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were careless while the others were sensible. The careless bridesmaids took their lamps as they were and did not bring extra oil. But those who were sensible, brought with their lamps flasks of oil. As the bridegroom delayed, they all grew drowsy and fell asleep. But at midnight, a cry rang out: ‘The bridegroom is here, come out and meet him!’ All the maidens woke up at once and trimmed their lamps. Then the careless ones said to the sensible ones: ‘Give us some oil, for our lamps are going out.’ The sensible ones answered: ‘There may not be enough for both you and us. How Does The Catholic Church Celebrate Holy Thursday?

HOW DOES THE CHURCH CELEBRATE HOLY THURSDAY? On Holy Thursday the Catholic Church remembers the first Mass ever celebrated: the Last Supper. With it begins Easter Triduum, three days that celebrate the Passion, Death and Resurrection of Jesus. In the morning Chrism Mass is celebrated and it's usually presided over in a cathedral by the bishop of each diocese. In some countries there is a tradition of making turns praying all night to be by the side of Jesus on the eve of his death. ...

Mass for The World Day of the Sick

Image
I celebrated Mass in unity of the celebrations of all catholics for World Day of the sick. I celebrated the Mass in the church and in the hospital and annointed those sick with oil a day after its regular schedule. It happens that February eleven of this year is sunday, my schedule could not accomodate it. People are noot used with the anointing of the sick during the said event. I thought that it is a common feeling that since drugs and medical services are expensive they will tend more to ask God for healing. However, it was not the case here.
