Basic Ecclesial Communities:Agents of Communion, Participation and Mission Fr. Amado L. Picardal, CSsR, STD The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines has declared 2017 as the Year of the Parish as Communion of Communities. The CBCP pastoral exhortation “On Era of New Evangelization” describes the focus of this year: “This is a year when we more deeply discern not only the structures of governance of our dioceses and parishes but also of the quality of faith life in the parish, the      fellowship, belongingness, and participation by its members. In a special way we shall probe into our efforts of making the parish a communion of communities,      a communion of Basic Ecclesial Communities and of covenanted faith-communities and ecclesial movements. We shall discern and implement measures on how      communities of consecrated life may be more integrated into the life and mission of the parish. In brief, our focus ...

Looking for more materials concerning the year of the poor, I have tried to visit nassa.org.ph but cannot be accessed. Nassa is the episcopal commission of the Catholic Bishop Conference of the Philippines for National Secretatiat for Social Action, Justice and Peace who is the lead agency of the Church on the implementation of the Program for the year of the Poor. The problem maybe from the host of the nassa.org.ph for some adjustment, let us wait after its maintenance finish the work. I just hope it will be available soon.

I would like to share with you the October 2013 Chaplain's Report of the Knights of Columbus:   Chaplain's report10_13

I have given the parishioners the talk for the Lenten Recollection of the parish. The recollection was centered on the idea of the latest encyclical of Pope Benedict XVI's Spe Salvi "In Hope we are saved". Many also aattended but next time I will use the iron hand. Recollection should be attended especially by the members of the religious organizations of the parish. I will obliged each member to attend next year. It is a promise. Blogs commenting Fr. T oo much gadgets and graphics make this site slower especially for the dial-up readers. most of the Filipino people except for those who are always in internet cafe or shops and the financially abled could hardly use broadband and high speed connection. I am staring to limit my post and the graphics. So I make another site for the activities of the parish. Mainly for the activities of the parish. It is also my activity as the parish priest but I could make a link here directing to the site and vice versa. Seeing other bloggers who are rich not only in content but also in form have somewhat make me jealous. Only if I have a lot of time to develop everything for a short period of time. It reminds me that I am human bounded by the rules of this world. I remember one of my friend a priest within the vicariate commented "Can yu still find time spending in the front of the computer?" Well, I have answered that we spent our free time on different interest. it is here I spent my fre...
