Accident and Annointing of the Sick

Image
This morning, we went to paete to inquire on the images of the three kings and other images of the Belen or the Nativity set of our Lord Jesus Christ because the parish does not have a complete set, we only had the holy family. On our way, when we reach Sta. Cruz Laguna, I noticed a motorcycle  in the middle of the  left side of the road/ When I slowed down, I saw a man lying down so I stop the car and immediately told my companions to get the sick call kit. The Man is gushing with blood. I pulsed him and there  is nothing I could felt. I administered the anointing of the sick immediately. I told the passerby to fetch the nearest police station in the vicinity. The conductor of the bus that ahead of us is telling me that the motorcycle slipped and it slammed in the Bus. Here are some pictures. I advise you that this can be graphic. For those who are not familiar with the sight of blood, beware! Whoever he may be may God grant him eternal rest, Amen. ...

Beware of Bogus Priests.

Post by Jessie Somosierra . Just this morning I received a text from an employee of one of the twenty six towns of the province of Laguna asking me if I have any knowledge of a certain Msgr. George Palma from the Diocese of Caceres assigned in one of the parishes or one of the Catholic institution there. They are asking me because the said Monsignori is gathering information on the name of the chief of police and of the Baranggay captain with their contact numbers and planning to come on Sunday. Well, this priest must have enough time coming there from Caceres on a Sunday.  I have searched the internet and the Directory of the Catholic Parishes of the Philippines Island and come out empty handed. I texted back with the result and with a warning that the person impersonating as a catholic priest may be one of those no longer in active service, an Aglipayan or a fake one. They should be careful in dealing with such person because people who are impersonators are usual...

Illegal Drugs Clearance

Image
Yesterday, one of the Philippine National Police officers came to my office asking me to sign papers containing reports of the barangay within my jurisdiction concerning the use, manufacture and selling of illegal drugs such as marijuana and shabu. I told him that I could not sign it immediately because I do not have a clear data concerning this matter. I asked them to give me two week from yesterday to decide on this matter. So, before I end my Mass today this early morning, I asked the congregation whether they have sufficient information concerning this matter so that I will not led astray on my decision. I told them that I will announce this also on Sunday masses to have an enough participation from my parishioners. Right after the Mass, parishioners from three of my barangay have already spoken of the presence of at least illegal drug pushers and illegal drug users. I have a total of fifteen barangays here in Bay, laguna, Philippines Blogs commenting Fr. Jessie's post
