As the school years has already begun and the school classes normalizes, we also tried to bring spiritual assistance to the students and teacher by having the Holy Spirit Mass. Asking God for His continual protection and care as well as guidance so that we might be wise enough to use the gift of intelligence. Yesterday, along with the catechists of the parish, we celebrated the Holy Mass in the Adelina 1 Elementary School students and teachers. As the Gospel of the day suggests (MT 9:1-8) we pray to get rid of the evil spirit in this world. Christ himself have taught us the power of prayer and the power of prayer of the humble ones like the little children. Teaching children about our faith is a tough one, all catechist and parents experience that difficulty. Yet, we have to remind ourselves that it is a part of our duty to get rid of the evil spirit comes first from the conversion of the heart on the belief that only through the power of our Lord Jesus Christ we can drive evil ...

PRAYER FOR SAINT AUGUSTINE

Image
O Saint Augustine, you have chosen by God the Creator to be the teacher of love, light of preachers and students, Doctor and pillar of the Mother Church, defender of Christian faith and shield against enemies. Let me imitate your example of conversion so that I can also attain straight path towards eternal serenity, and may my heart be a dwelling place of the Holy Trinity. Pray for me, my patron Saint Augustine, so that my vices and the wrong teachings that I believe in be reformed through the help and mercy of Jesus Christ. Through the inspiration that you followed in the letter of Saint Paul in the New Testament, "to stop living my immoral lives and to live in imitation of Jesus." (cf. Rom. 13:13-14) Help me, Saint Augustine, so that the wisdom and the intelligence that God has given me will reign. May these blessings will lead my life towards holiness. Enlighten my mind so that I will trust in the blessings of the Holy Spirit and not only to my own competence. Saint...

Image
Right after my Masses in the barrios, Brgy. Masaya and Sitio Bagong Pook of Tranca, Bay, Laguna. I dressed up with my clerical garb and proceeded to the Church patio for the celebration of the Junior-Senior Prom of the Liceo de Bay. They are having supper when I arrive. I did not eat then because the barrio folks have prepared a supper for me beforehand in Bagong Pook. Since they are having supper, there is a break of activities. it was been the time to have some chat with the teacher and principal of the school. I also delivered a message after the break. I reiterated to them one of my message during my Mass to them last Thursday, that they could have fun without getting into trouble and the school would like to prepare them for their inclusion to the larger society. Sometimes the youth were not been properly instructed that they have also social obligations. When they grow up, there are social celebrations that they have attend to which require them to be prepare on how to deal with ...
