A Catechist Prayer

Image
Father of all Families, you have called me to serve the family in truth and in love as catechist. May I be faithful to this call, rooted in your Word and open to the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Mai I use these gifts especially the gifts of faith, hope and love, to serve the family as a witness to you, who are love and life, and the source and destiny of all families. Let your Spirit enlighten my mind and strengthen  my hears so that I can be a path of Chris's love to families especially those in need, the homebound and aged, the disable and disheartened. Through the intercession of Mary and Joseph, I pray for the Church, the Bride of Christ, whose mission to build a civilization of love passes through the family.  Amen

A Prayer For Catechist

Image
Loving God, Creator of all things, you call us to be in relationship with you and others. Thank you for calling me to be a catechist, for the opportunity to share with others what you have given to me. May all those with whom I share the gift of faith discover how you are present in all things. May they come to know you, the one true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. May the grace of the Holy Spirit guide my heart and lips, so that I may remain constant in loving and praising you. May I be a witness to the Gospel and a minister of your truth. May all my words and actions reflect your love. Amen.

Parent's Prayer

Image
Parent's Prayer Grant us, O Lord Jesus, to imitate faithfully the example of your Holy Family and to make our home another Nazareth. May peace, love and happiness prevail. Grant us the grace to be the parents  we should be for our children. Grant that our child may find solid support  for their human dignity  and for their growth in truth and love  within the embrace of our home. When the time comes for each of us  to go to the everlasting home you have prepared for us, may your glorious Mother and St. Joseph take us to you, after the final grace of a happy death. _____ Filipino

LET THE STONES SHOUT!

LET THE STONES SHOUT! 1st of the Series of Pastoral Letters of His Grace, the Most Reverend Leonardo Z. Legaspi, O.P., D.D., Archbishop of Caceres, On the Right of the Church to Proclaim the Truth and Her Duty to Lead the Faithful to True Freedom in and for the Truth Introduction The tercentenary of the gift of devotion to Ina, Our Lady of Peñafrancia, has brought us together to celebrate as a community and as a Church. The celebration has offered us great joy to remember with gratitude the  many blessings that God has bestowed upon us through Ina, and has given us hope to share this gift of devotion with loving concern to those in need especially the poor.  Recently, however, when the issue on Reproductive Health Bill sprung up, it scattered along with it the seeds of division, cynicism and animosity among us.  Malicious and tasteless name-calling and criticism hounded  the Church’s stand on responsible parenthood. The prophetic...
