Why Smart is no Longer Smart.

Everyday, I am receiving text messages that says it seems like your phone or device is trying to access site not included in your current data package. Yes, my dear friends, everyday. I will include two pictures which shows three consecutive days of receiving the same text message. I am not opening my data because I do not have money to be online every time. So, I say to Smart. Are you serious or you are just have enough time and resources for your unwanted promotional stunts to annoy people within your network? Have we lost our professionalism for the lure of more money for subscriptions? Or it is just a computer glitch that no one in your army of technicians can handle?  Or you are just numb to the customer feedback you are receiving because the other end receiving the calls are outsource call center agents that can be patient enough to hear the ire, grunting and displeasure of customers because it is their bread and butter? CBCP’s statement on the US Supreme Court ruling on same-sex marriage

In reaction to the new ruling of the United States Supreme Court on marriage equality or same sex marriage. The US Supreme Court was asked whether banning same-sex marriages was in accord with the Constitution. It has recently ruled that such a ban is unconstitutional. That is the gist as well as the significance of the ruling of the US Supreme Court. Its reference is the US Constitution. Fortunately for human persons, there is so much more to us and to our dignity than what the law prescribes. While human positive law is the distillation of human experience of orderly and organized life, it does not exhaust human wisdom, nor does it have room for the wisdom of which God makes us participants. The Church continues to maintain what it has always taught. Marriage is a permanent union of man and woman, in the complementarity of the sexes and the mutual fulfillment that the union of a man and a woman bring into the loftiness of the matrimonial bond. Understanding

Understanding is different and beyond knowledge, This computer I am working with may have knowledge like any of us or even more but surely it cannot understand. understanding is a uniquely human activity that deals primarily not with information but with that elusive reality which we call meaning. Let us be reminded that the classic priestly formation is helping seminarians develop the ability to think and decide for themselves, to correctly understand themselves and the meaning of events in the light of faith; and how to wisely order their lives according to a proper hierarchy of values. This correct understanding leads to right sense of perspective and right sense of proportion. Priestly life is not a way to ignore, sublimate, reject, disown and anesthetize desire, rather it is a way to feel and expand human desire to such an extent  that it drives us toward something greater than ourselves. ...
