Liturgical Schedule

Image
There is a site which gives the schedules of daily Masses and liturgical services in United States Catholic churches. I decided to make on the Philippine situation. Oh God!, I hope I can cope up with the different blogs I have made so far. Practically I could not update them all at once but I hope I can post little by little. This is the way, I chose instead of putting everything here and move to the later different site which is more tasking later on and will not be blog as we speak of. This Liturgical Schedule site is a simple one with the name of the parish, a picture of the site with Google map for direction and updated telephone number is available. Surely, as toime goes by it will grow naturally. More time in the computer. I hope my eyes will not hurt though I changed already my eyeglass to withstand radiation from the computer monitor. Some of the video stuff that I have saved have found in my archives and I am trying to upload it to the internet. This one is the video of the homily of the retreat master of the Diocese of San Pablo priests last year. Blogs commenting Fr. Jessie's post

Assembly

Image
Our regular monthly priests' assembly of the diocese falls on the third Monday of the month, except when there are conflict with the schedule of the bishop. This month, it was scheduled today. Fr. Rene Eriga reported on the National Rural Congress as well as on the activities of the social action of which he is the head of the said commission. The diocese have progressed in the social alleviation program though there is much to be done but we are making a progress as part of Church's commitment for the poor as stipulated in the First Diocesan Synod of the Diocese of San pablo and the Second Plenary Council of the Philippines. Busy day as ussual

Image
Filling the posts especially during busy days have really been painful because I have to reflect and think of a lot of flashbacks that happen in my life especially if the post have been left vacant for two week or more. Just like this entry. I was been lazy or I have no time to write it down in my journal. The very fact that I have used this blog in the Internet is because I do not want to rewrite what I would like to post. Besides from my not so good penmanship it will require myself to edit my previous hand written piece. Of course, Sunday as the rest of Sundays in the life of a catholic parish priest is a hectic schedule, the busiest day in the life of a pastor. St. Augustine parish has an everyday mass at early in the morning. On Sundays, there are four (4) regular masses in the parish church and three in the barrangay. I get the two regular masses in the parish and one in the barrangay and reserve the last one for funeral Mass every one o'clock in the afternoon. many p...

Excruciating pain

There are two nuptial mass schedule for this Saturday, but I asked the help of Rev. Fr. Frederick to attend to the said marriages because I have other masses to attend to on the evening. However, I have a scheduled house blessing, supposed to be two but the last schedule blessing asked me if I could also bless the house of her sister, I obliged since the house is also in the vicinity. On these blessings, the host usually invite me for a simple celebration. I ate on both blessings which keep me wondering what wrong with what I have eaten because this afternoon i felt an excruciating pain in my stomach and experience loose bowel movement. I never experience that pain before. During the evening masses in the barrio, I have really felt the pain that has almost knock me out. I was tempting already to ask to be sent to the emergency room in any hospital near us. Instead I took two tablets of medicine and after the masses I went directly to my room and sleep the pain over without taking anyt...

Holy Study (Banal na Pagaaral)

Image
Some people came to me for courtesy concerning their group and their activities. They have been here before for sometime before i came as their parish priest but has stopped coming here and moved to a new venue. They call themselves as "Banal na Pag-aaral", Holy Study. I do not know if that is the right translation in English for the said group. They are asking to be recognized as another group of the parish seeking holiness through the study of the Bible and through the eucharistic devotion. So, since the more, the merrier. As long as they comply with the policy of the parish, I see no objection about recognizing them. Blogs commenting Fr. Jessie's post

Some friends from my former parish in Sta. Maria, Laguna, Nuestra Senora delos Angeles drop by before going through their meeting in San Pablo City. They are going to attend the meeting of 'FIRM', Friends of Imelda Romualdez Marcos group. Clearly a political group. Since they are passing thru, they decided to drop by and just say HELLO. They just spent some time since they are also on the way to San Pablo. They are also going to talk to the Mayor of this town, Mayor, Bruno Ramos. Blogs commenting Fr. Jessie's post
