The youth have new way of inviting those who wishes to serve the Lord in the language they could easily understand. I Just hope that more young people will serve the Lord in a more diverse way including the vocation to the priesthood. We are being overrun by other religions and sects because we have handful of workers. Though, we believe in the inspiration and works of the Holy Spirit but it is also a part of the workings of the same Spirit that more young people will be activated to the vocation of priesthood. It will be mathematically impossible if one priest can administer a ten thousand parishioners. It will be more manageable if the number will be lessened if there are enough shepherds the faithful.

As we celebrate today the feast of St. Alphonsus de Ligouri, Bishop and Doctor of the Church and founder of the Redemptorist Order, I thank God for the love that St. Alphonsus have poured out to Jesus Christ through the adoration of the Blessed Sacrament of which he drew strength to perform his daily activities in the proclamation of the love of God. The parish have also sailed through the attempt to revive the devotion to the Blessed Sacrament, we fondly called Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration that was been popular on the Diocese during the 80's but lost momentum since the 90's and onward. Some people are keeping asking me to revive it. However, this devotional practice needs a well coordinated efforts and continual reminders. I remember, during my diaconate when I was assigned in St. Isidore parish of Calauan, I cannot remember the exact date but surely it was between 1992 to 1993. i was been instructed by the Bishop then Pedro N. Bantigue to look for people to devote...

A Prayer For Priests

Image
A Prayer  For Priests Divine Savior Jesus Christ, Thou are the Good Shepherd who gives His life for His sheep. Oh, be in a very special way the Good Shepherd of those poor lost priests who are also appointed by Thee to be leaders of Thy people, but who have broken the oath of their holy ordination and have become unfaithful to their exalted calling. Bestow upon these poorest of the poor the very fullness of that pastoral solicitude with which Thou dost so faithfully seek the sheep that are lost! Touch their hearts with the irresistible ray of grace which emanates from Thine all-merciful love! Enlighten their minds and strengthen their wills, that they may turn away from all sin and error and come back to Thy holy altar and to Thy people. Amen Imprimatur - Bishop John F.
