It is a very important question to asked where can we find now the present site of the biblical city Nineveh. Is it a place that can only be found on the Bible? Where it is today? As I have posted the biblical reference to Jonah and Nineveh at  Jonas 3, 1-10 , it has come into mind that me reader might also want to know where can we find the present day Nineveh. During our pilgrimage to the Holy Land last year, it is also good to know the places that can be found in the Bible to have a feel of it and to situate on it as we reflect the Word of God. Going back to our topic, the present day Nineveh can be situated, according to scholars,at the outskirt of Mosul of modern day Iraq. Here is the map that might help ys on our visual representation.

I am really thankful to God for making Yesterday celebration of the Feast Day of Saint Martin de Porres here in Adelina 1, San Pedro, laguna. Different gas station charge you differently even of the same brand or carriers. So far this one in Alaminos, Laguna is the cheapest I have seen ever. Part of the operation of the Commission on Catechesis of the Diocese of San Pablo is the monthly meeting of the Staff comprises of priests, religious and lay coordinators. The Catechetical Commission is headed by Rev. Fr. Tootsie Ubarco. One of the agenda for this month after the annual assessment and evaluation in pangasinan of which I was not been able to attend because it was also the schedule of the pastoral visit of Bishop Buenaventura Famadico in the Vicariate  of the Holy Family of which I belong, is the launching of the spiritual bouquet for the diocesan catechetical day both for the school bay lay volunters and student catechists of the diocese. Prayer of an Overseas Worker Father God, it’s so lonely out here. Many times I’ve asked myself why I had to go here in the first place, and why I can’t go back yet to where my heart truly is, where my true happiness resides. Why must I walk these streets alone? Why must I eat this bread without my family? Many sights have so amazed me since I got here and yet no beauty has ever succeeded in wiping away the tears from my eyes. For without my loved ones, what can all these things mean to me? I’d rather be blind, I’d rather tire myself to sleep so I won’t have time to remember, to cry, to long so painfully for the people I love so much. Help me O God. Give me strength to bear such a terrible longing. Give me hope so that the vision of your blessings for my loved ones always be before me. Give me faith so I can cling on that hope on my darkest and loneliest days. Let me never forget the reason why I came here for. Let me never forget who I am and to whom I really belong....

Several civil celebrations of the state of life sometimes becomes commercialized but there is no harm of praying for them. The CBCP through the Episcopal Commission on Liturgy inserted a reminder last Sunday, June 14, to pray for all the fathers. being faithful to it I prayed the prayer suggested by the ORDO on the anticipated Mass. After praying, one of the fathers told me that the celebration is this coming Sunday not this Sunday, When the Mass has concluded, I searched the internet and come to realization that yes Father's Day falls on the third Sunday of June. Wee, there is no harm in praying again for them this coming Sunday. I am also posting here the prayer for the Father's Day. We thank god for our fathers who like our Father in heaven constantly love and protect us. May they really guide us and lead us into the way towards our God the Father.    

GOSPEL REFLECTION: All Souls' Day Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed  2nd November 2014 by Rev. Fr.
