Image
( Ito po ang bagong sulat ni Papa Francisco na nagtatalaga sa Katekista bilang isang Ministro ng Simbahang Katoliko) APOSTOLIC LETTER ISSUED "MOTU PROPRIO" BY THE SUPREME PONTIFF FRANCIS "ANTIQUUM MINISTERIUM" INSTITUTING THE MINISTRY OF CATECHIST   1. The ministry of Catechist in the Church is an ancient one. Theologians commonly hold that the first examples are already present in the writings of the New Testament. The service of catechesis may be traced back to those “teachers” mentioned by the Apostle in writing to the community of Corinth: “Some people God has designated in the Church to be, first, apostles; second, prophets; third, teachers; then, mighty deeds; then, gifts of healing, assistance, administration, and varieties of tongues. Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work mighty deeds? Do all have gifts of healing? Do all speak in tongues? Do all interpret? Strive eagerly for the greatest spiritual gifts. But I shall show you ...

Reflecting on the Catholic presence on the net, I stumble upon on many application for the Eucharistic celebration.  Here is one, called as New Missal. It contains the new Roman Missal guide for the celebration for the Mass including the responses and several options we used. However, it would be better if the options were pull down to lessen distractions. It includes reading of the day. It automatically load the reading of the day, just of the day. It includes three reflections, first from Creighton.edu , a Creighton University's University Relations; second, from One Bread,  One Body from Presentation Ministries . and thirdly reflection from Passionist.Org , this one does not load, presumable bad link, I have check Passionist website on their reflection and it is working well.

Association of Catholic Priests

Image
While looking for some materials for this Sunday's Gospel, I came across on the site of the group of Irish priest known as Association of Catholic Priests who meets every Saturday in Dublin to have a forum, and a voice to reflect, discuss and comment on issues affecting the Irish Church and society today. A group of priest in Ireland with an annual  membership fee of 20 Euro. That is 1053.45 peso in today's currency conversion. The site was active since 2010. It does not say when the froup actually started, It is of special interest on my part that there is a group besides the Ecclesiastical known associations directed by the Church as stipulated in the Canon Law. This is an initiative coming from the priests of Ireland known as ACP. It is proper to share it with you their constitution: 1. Name: The Association of Catholic Priests (Ireland). (ACP) 2. Purpose of the association: To promote the aims and objectives, as laid out below: Providing a voice for Iris...

He is leaving his work here as well as his wife and two children to look for a greener pasture. Since he could find more money there abroad more than what he is earning here in the Philippines. The Church provides prayer and support group for those leaving the country. the parish in particular will be affected by Amine's leaving the country as he holds the leadership of the music ministry. REDEMPTORIS MISSIO

IOANNES PAULUS PP. II REDEMPTORIS MISSIO On the permanent validity of the Church's missionary mandate Blessing Venerable Brothers, Beloved Sons and Daughters, Health and the Apostolic Blessing! INTRODUCTION 1. The mission of Christ the Redeemer, which is entrusted to the Church, is still very far from completion. As the second millennium after Christ's coming draws to an end, an overall view of the human race shows that this mission is still only beginning and that we must commit ourselves wholeheartedly to its service. It is the Spirit who impels us to proclaim the great works of God: "For if I preach the Gospel, that gives me no ground for boasting. For necessity is laid upon me. Woe to me if I do not preach the Gospel!" (1 Cor 9: 16) In the name of the whole Church, I sense an urgent duty to repeat this cry of St. Paul . From the beginning of my Pontificate I have chosen to travel to the ends of the earth in order to s...
