Allen Baclor Abadines  READINGS: First Reading: Ezekiel 2:3-5 Responsorial Psalm: Our eyes look to the Lord, until he has mercy upon us. Second Reading: 2 Corinthians 12:7-10 GOSPEL : Mark 6:1-6 Jesus came to his hometown, and his disciples followed him. On the Sabbath he began to teach in the synagogue, and many who heard him were astounded. They said, "Where did this man get all this? What is this wisdom that has been given to him? What deeds of power are being done by his hands! Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary and brother of James and Joses and Judas and Simon, and are not his sisters here with us?" Allen Baclor Abadines * GOSPEL: (Matthew 22:1-14) Once more Jesus spoke to the chief priests and Pharisees in parables: "The Kingdom of heaven may be compared to a king who gave a wedding banquet for his son. MASS READINGS for today, November 13, 2011 (33rd Sunday in Ordinary Time) FIRST READING - Proverbs 31: 10 - 13, 19 - 20, 30 - 31 10 A good wife who can find? She is far more precious than jewels. 11 The heart of her husband trusts in her, and he will have no lack of gain. 12 She does him good, and not harm, all the days of her life. 13 She seeks wool and flax, and works with willing hands. 19 She puts her hands to the distaff, and her hands hold the spindle. 20 She opens her hand to the poor, and reaches out her hands to the needy. 30 Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised. 31 Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her works praise her in the gates. PSALM - Psalms 128: 1 - 5 1 Blessed is every one who fears the LORD, who walks in his ways! 2 You shall eat the fruit of the labor of your hands; you shall be happy, and it shall be well with you. 3 Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house; your chil...
