Prayer Against Death Penalty

Image
Prayer Against Death Penalty Leader: Father, source and giver of life, we lift our hearts and voices to you. Help us to build a society that truly chooses life in all situations. Let our response be: Lord, heal our pain. For those experiencing pain and anguish because of violence and crime, Lord, heal our pain. For perpetrators and victims of atrocities who both struggle with anger and hatred, Lord, heal our pain. For our broken world, enchained by the desire for revenge, Lord, heal our pain. For our wounded society misled by the illusion that one must take life in order to defend it. Lord, heal our pain. Leader: Let us say together: Help us to make peace. For our country, tempted to accept violent revenge. Help us to make peace. For the conviction to recognize and uphold the dignity of all people. Help us to make peace. For the wisdom to see poverty, injustice and lack of educational and employment opportunities as likely causes of criminality, ...

The problem maybe from the host of the nassa.org.ph for some adjustment, let us wait after its maintenance finish the work. I just hope it will be available soon.

The Right for Information. This is the battle cry of those who pushes changes in the government. An idea wishes to be seen as  a reality since it was first proposed in the Philippine Congress twenty seven years ago. The right of Information was enshrined in the 1987 Philippine Constitution. However, a law must be enacted so that its proper passage to the daily life will be directed towards a more transparent and clean governance. The Bishop Conference of the United States of  America posted a prayer for the people of Syria as Adapted from the Catholics Confront Global poverty through the collaborative effort with Catholic Relief Services. This is heeding the call of Pope Francis for offering September 7 as a day of prayer for peace and fasting for Syria and Middle East. Prayer For The People of Syria Almighty eternal God, source of all compassion, the promise of your mercy and saving help fills our hearts with hope. Hear the cries of the people of Syria; bring healing to those suffering from the violence, and comfort to those mourning the dead. Empower and encourage Syria’s neighbors  in their care and welcome for refugees. Convert the hearts of those who have taken up arms, and strengthen the resolve of those committed to peace. Prayer of Peace

Image
Prayer of Peace   God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change;  courage to change the things I can;  and wisdom to know the difference. Living one day at a time;  enjoying one moment at a time;  accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;  taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it;  trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His Will;  that I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with Him forever in the next.  Amen.

Educating young people in Justice And Peace

Image
MESSAGE OF HIS HOLINESS POPE BENEDICT XVI FOR THE CELEBRATION OF THE WORLD DAY OF PEACE 1 JANUARY 2012 EDUCATING YOUNG PEOPLE IN JUSTICE AND PEACE 1. The beginning of a new year, God’s gift to humanity, prompts me to extend to all, with great confidence and affection, my heartfelt good wishes that this time now before us may be marked concretely by justice and peace. With what attitude should we look to the New Year? We find a very beautiful image in Psalm 130. The Psalmist says that people of faith wait for the Lord “more than those who watch for the morning” (v. 6); they wait for him with firm hope because they know that he will bring light, mercy, salvation. This waiting was born of the experience of the Chosen People, who realized that God taught them to look at the world in its truth and not to be overwhelmed by tribulation. I invite you to look to 2012 with this attitude of confident trust. It is true that the year now ending has been marked by a rising sense of frustrat...
