Church's Campaign Against Death Penalty

Image
It is known to everybody that the last time the congress voted for the re-institution of the death penalty in the lower house, the pro death penalty claim a large margin of victory. Only a handful, a fourth of the total number of votes casts have stand the ground. The 54 men and women of the members of the lower house who stick to the dictates of their conscience even on the fear and intimidation and even losing the key positions of the committees and even funding from pork barrel. One of the salient points in the discussion within the Presbyteral council of the Diocese of San Pablo is Have we done enough in the campaign against death penalty? Are we been deceived? or Have we deceived ourselves that what we have done is enough. or it is really an uphill battle because of the surrounding circumstances of which doctrinal formation is one of them. I would like to thank God for the 54 men and women members of congress who voted No to death Penalty, and i ask the Lord to stren...

I would like to put the list of the San Pedro municipality here but the site would not allow me maybe because of the bulk of the list

Beware of Bogus Priests.

Image
Post by Jessie Somosierra . Just this morning I received a text from an employee of one of the twenty six towns of the province of Laguna asking me if I have any knowledge of a certain Msgr. George Palma from the Diocese of Caceres assigned in one of the parishes or one of the Catholic institution there. They are asking me because the said Monsignori is gathering information on the name of the chief of police and of the Baranggay captain with their contact numbers and planning to come on Sunday. Well, this priest must have enough time coming there from Caceres on a Sunday.  I have searched the internet and the Directory of the Catholic Parishes of the Philippines Island and come out empty handed. I texted back with the result and with a warning that the person impersonating as a catholic priest may be one of those no longer in active service, an Aglipayan or a fake one. They should be careful in dealing with such person because people who are impersonators are usual...

Classification Proposal

PROPOSED CLASSIFICATION OF CHURCH BUILDINGS AND OTHER PREMISES IN THE DIOCESE OF SAN PABLO , PROVINCE OF LAGUNA Guiding Principle: The present physical status and the era when a church building was constructed would determine the kind of architectural care and intervention that it would receive. This will aid the diocese in the formulation of appropriate policies for each status and era classification. Introduction Not all churches in Rome were built in the same era. Not all of them are Ancient, Baroque, Renaissance, Neoclassical, Gothic or Medieval in style. Not all of them follow the same engineering and architectural methods of construction. Not all of them are historical in a definite way. There are some churches in the Eternal City that are ultra-modern in style and not all of them are famous and tourist-worthy to visit. But all of them are sacred spaces as well as living spaces. Sacred Spaces means they are directed towards God and the experience of the Sacre...
