House Resolution 1109 is a desperate move of the congress to amend the constitution and as what others have suspected to extend the term of office of those in position. I have longed to comment on this issue because the resolution was passed last April of this year. It was only now that I have the time to do so. I have posted here also the copy of the said resolution so that one may really know what the conscitution of the said resolution and the representatives behind it. Personally, I have no objection that there are certain provisions in the constitution that need revision. I believe most of the Filipinos agree with me. Today, we celebrate the feast of St. John the Baptist, the bearer of Christ's sandals. The forerunner of our Lord Jesus Christ. He preached the Good News of Salvation without any qualms that caused his head. I attended the concelebrated Mass in St. John the Baptist parish in Calamba city this morning. Strong rains and gusty winds, i went ahead to the parish church. There are also many priest present but many have opted not to attend because of the bad weather, signal no 2 in Laguna, the news said this morning. The traditional "basaan kay San Juan" pushed through but it has not cause any difference because it is raining.
