**Homiliya para sa Huwebes, Agosto 27, 2026** Mga Kapatid sa pananampalataya, magandang araw sa ating lahat. Sa ating pagdiriwang ngayon, tinipon tayo ng Panginoon upang muling pagnilayan ang Kanyang Salita. Sa araw na ito, ang Ebanghelyo ay punung-puno ng aral at gabay na tiyak na makikita natin sa ating pang-araw-araw na buhay. Nasa ating Ebanghelyo ang mga mensahe na mahalaga sa ating pananampalataya at sa ating ugnayan sa Diyos at sa ating kapwa. Habang ating binabasa ang mga talata, makikita natin ang mga tema ng pagtawag, pagpapahalaga sa ating pananampalataya, at ang buo at tapat na pagpapasakop sa kalooban ng Diyos. Una, nais kong talakayin ang kahalagahan ng pagtawag. Maraming pagkakataon sa ating buhay na tinawag tayo ng Diyos, hindi lamang upang maging mga tagasunod Niya kundi upang maging bayan Niya. Ang mga salin ng Ebanghelyo ay nagdadala sa atin sa isang pagkakataon kung saan iniwan ng mga alagad ang lahat at sumunod sa tawag ng Panginoon. Balikan natin ang mga panahon sa ating buhay kung saan tayo ay tinawag upang gumawa ng mabuti, upang lumakad sa landas ng Diyos. Nakalulungkot, sa ating makabagong panahon, marami sa atin ang tumatanggi sa tawag ng Diyos. Maaaring may mga takot, alinmang uri ng panghihina, o kaya naman ay mga ilusyon ng kasalukuyan na nag-uudyok sa atin na huwag tumugon. Ngunit sa mga alagad, nakita natin ang kanilang tamang desisyon—anang Ebanghelyo, iniwan nila ang kanilang mga buhay at tumugon sa tawag ng Diyos. Nawa ito’y maging inspirasyon sa atin. Ang pagtugon sa tawag ng Diyos ay hindi laging madali, ngunit ito ay isang pagkakataon ng biyaya at higit pang layunin sa ating mga buhay. Pangalawa, ang ating pananampalataya ay hindi nagtatapos sa ating pagtawag. Dito nagsisimula ang ating tunay na misyon. Ang mga alagad ay hindi nag-atubiling sundan ang Diyos, sa kabila ng mga pagsubok na kanilang haharapin. Sila ay naging mga tagapagdala ng mabuting balita sa Pilipinas at sa iba pang bahagi ng mundo. Sa ating paglalakbay, may mga pagkakataon na darating ang subok na maaaring sumubok sa ating pananampalataya. Nawa'y maging tapat tayo sa ating mga pangako sa Diyos, sa ating pagkilos sa ngalan Niya, at sa pagmamahal na ating ipinapakita sa ating kapwa. Isang mahalagang paalala ang ibinibigay ng Panginoon sa atin sa araw na ito: ang tunay na pananampalataya ay nakikita hindi lamang sa ating mga salita kundi sa ating mga gawa. Ating tandaan, ang ating mga desisyon at aksyon ay may epekto hindi lamang sa ating sarili kundi sa iba. Kaya’t tayo ay hinahamon na ipakita ang ating pananampalataya sa pamamagitan ng ating mga gawa. "Kung hindi mo makakayang ipakita, nasa puso mo ba talaga ito?" Marami sa atin ang nakakagapos sa takot na tayo ay husgahan ng mundo, subalit nais tayong paalalahanan ng Diyos upang ipakita ang ating tunay na kapangyarihan sa pagmamahal, sa pagkilos, at sa pakikiisa sa Kanya. Kuha ng ating puso at isip ang mga pagkakataon kahit na ito'y tila mahirap — tunay na pagsunod. Sa ating pagtahak sa ating mga personal na landas, patuloy tayong lumapit sa Diyos sa pamamagitan ng panalangin at sakramento. Laging umasa at magtiwala na Siya’y naririyan upang muling ituwid tayo sa tamang landas, nang sa gayon tayo ay patuloy na maglaan ng ating oras at pag-aalaga sa ating anyo ng pananampalataya. Sa pagdarasal, nariyan ang gabay at liwanag na hinahanap natin sa ating mga puso. Mga kapatid, sa pagtatapos ng ating pagninilay, nais kong hikayatin ang bawat isa sa atin na muling suriin ang ating mga buhay—ano ang mga tawag ng Diyos sa atin? Ano ang mga bahagi ng ating buhay ang kailangan nating bitawan upang tunay na makasunod sa Kanya? Paano natin maipapakita ang ating pananampalataya sa ating kapwa? Huwag tayong matakot sumubok, at laging humingi ng tulong sa ating Ama. Sa ngalan ng Ama, ng Anak, at ng Espiritu Santo. Amen.
