Jesus emphasizes this in moments that challenge the worldly perspectives of ambition and privilege. We are reminded to look beyond ourselves and serve one another. **The Call to Humility** The theme of humility is echoed throughout scripture, yet it is in the life of Christ that we find the most profound example. In Philippians 2:5-7, St. Paul urges us to have the same mindset as Christ Jesus, who, being in the very nature of God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage.
