As we gather today, let us reflect upon the significance of the message Jesus shares, the implications of His proclamation, and the response of those who witnessed it. This is not merely a story set in the past; it challenges us to consider how we, too, interact with Christ's teachings in our own lives. In the passage, Jesus returns to His hometown of Nazareth and reads from the scroll of Isaiah. He declares, *“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives...”* This announcement is profound; it outlines the mission of Jesus, which encompasses healing, freedom, and hope. It signifies the fulfillment of the Scriptures and introduces the very heart of the Gospel. ### The Essence of Good News Jesus begins with a declaration of good news, a message that is particularly aimed at the marginalized, the downtrodden, and those who have been oppressed. He recognizes their suffering and articulates a vision of hope and restoration. In today’s world, we still witness suffering, injustice, and despair. Sa lugay na ito, nais kong magsalita tungkol sa mga aral na makukuha natin mula sa mga salitang ito ng ating Panginoon. **Pagkilala sa Boses ng Diyos** Ang ating ebanghelyo ay mula sa aklat ni Mateo (o maaaring mula sa iba pang mga aklat ng Bagong Tipan). Minsan, ang pangunahing mensahe dito ay ang pagtanggap ng mga tawag at mensahe ng Diyos. Sa ating pang-araw-araw na buhay, gaano nga ba tayo kahanda na pakinggan ang Kanyang boses? Ang buhay natin ay puno ng ingay—mga paaralan, trabaho, at mga responsibilidad. Minsan, nagiging mahirap na marinig ang boses ng Diyos sa gitna ng lahat ng ito. Ngunit mahalaga ang pagninilay. Kaya naman dapat tayong maging bukas sa mga pangangailangan ng iba. **Pagsisilbi at Pagtulong** Isa sa mga sentro ng ating pananampalataya ay ang paglilingkod sa kapwa. Maraming tao ang nagugutom, nangangailangan at may mga problemang hindi natin alam. Ang mga ito ang dapat nating pagtuunan ng pansin. Sa ebanghelyo, maaaring ituro ni Jesus ang halaga ng pagtulong sa iba. Sa ating bayan, maraming nangangailangan, at tayo bilang mga katoliko ay tinatawag na maging mga elohin ng pagmamahal at pagbibigay. May mga pagkakataon na ang ating simpleng tulong sa iba ay nagiging sagot sa kanilang mga panalangin. Kaya naman, wag tayong mag-atubiling magbigay ng ating oras, yaman, at pagmamahal sa mga nangangailangan. Tayo ay hindi lamang mga tagatanggap ng Kanyang biyaya kundi mga tagapaghatid din nito sa iba. **Pagpapatawad at Pag-unawa** Sa ibang bahagi ng ating pagbasa, marahil ay nagsasalita si Jesus tungkol sa pagpapatawad. Minsan, madaling iwanan ang Kanyang mga aral, lalo na kapag ito ay hindi umaayon sa ating mga kagustuhan o plano. Sa mga pagkakataong ito, nawa'y tayo ay magpakatatag at ipaglaban ang ating pananampalataya. Huwag tayong matakot na ipahayag ang ating mga pananaw at priyoridad. Isang pagkakataon ito para sa atin na maging liwanag sa madilim na mundo. Sa pamamagitan ng ating mga gawa, makikita ng iba ang pagmamahal at kalooban ng Diyos. Kaya’t ating palaganapin ang ating pananampalataya gamit ang katotohanan at kabutihan. **Pag-asa at Pananampalataya** Sa kabila ng mga pagsubok, dapat tayong laging umaasa. Kahit sa mga panahon ng kadiliman at pagsubok, nawa’y huwag tayong mawalan ng pag-asa. Ang ating pananampalataya ay nagdadala sa atin sa kapayapaan. Sa tuwing tayo ay bumabalik sa Diyos sa panalangin, tayo ay nagiging inspirasyon sa iba. Sa ating mga turo at gawain, maipapakita natin na ang pagmamahal ng Diyos ay hindi nagkukulang at laging nandiyan. **Tugon sa Tawag ni Cristo** Ngayon, mga kapatid, bilang pagtatapos, iniimbitahan tayo ng ating Panginoon na sagutin ang Kanyang tawag. Anong hakbang ang maaari nating gawin upang makilala Siya ng higit sa ating buhay? Paano natin maipapakita ang Kanyang pagmamahal sa lahat ng tao? Sa huli, nawa'y magtagumpay tayong lahat sa ating mga misyon at gawain, sa pagkakaroon ng tunay na diwa ng paglilingkod sa ating kapwa, at sa pagtanggap at pagpapatawad. Ang ating buhay ay isang malaking sakripisyo at serbisyo, kaya't nawa'y palagi tayong magpakatatag sa ating pananampalataya, at patuloy na magdala ng liwanag kung saan man tayo naroroon. Tayo’y patuloy na nag-aalay ng panalangin at pagmamahalan. Amen.
